Sift

Terms of service

Last updated 30 September 2026

These terms cover your use of Sift at https://siftedu.app (“Sift”, “we”, “us”), run by Mohamad Darwich. By creating an account you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Sift.

What Sift does

Sift collects job listings from companies’ public careers pages, estimates how well each role fits you based on the CV and preferences you give us, and helps you prepare applications with tailored CVs and interview preparation. When you apply, you apply directly with the employer on their own site. Sift is not an employer, recruiter or staffing agency and doesn’t apply on your behalf.

No guarantees about jobs

Listings belong to the employers who publish them. We check them often, but a role may close, change or be filled before we notice. Fit scores, tailored CVs and interview prep are guidance produced partly by AI; they can be wrong, and you’re responsible for what you send to an employer. We don’t promise that you’ll get an interview or a job.

Your account

You need to be at least 16 to use Sift. Keep your password private and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. Give us accurate information; tailored CVs are only as honest as the CV you upload, and Sift won’t invent experience you don’t have.

Acceptable use

Don’t misuse Sift. That includes trying to break or overload it, scraping or reselling its data, creating accounts in bulk, uploading content you don’t have the right to use, or using it to harass anyone. We may suspend or close accounts that do.

Your content

Your CV and anything you write stays yours. You let us store and process it only to run Sift for you, as described in our privacy policy. Tailored CVs we generate for you are yours to use however you like.

Sift Pro and payments

Sift is free to use. Sift Pro costs $14.99 a month or $119.99 a year (plus any tax that applies where you live) and renews automatically at the end of each month or year, depending on the plan you choose, until you cancel. Our online orders are processed by our reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com, which handles payment, billing enquiries, invoices and tax. Paddle’s buyer terms also apply to your purchase.

You can cancel any time from Profile → Plan → Manage billing. You keep Pro until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and you won’t be charged again. See our refund policy. If we change the price, we’ll tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to you.

Ending things

You can delete your account at any time from your profile; that removes your CV and data and cancels any subscription. We may close accounts that break these terms, and we’ll refund any unused paid time unless the account was closed for abuse.

Liability

Sift is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions employers make, and our total liability to you is limited to what you’ve paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms as Sift grows. If a change matters, we’ll email you before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
